IRQ settings

I recently bought an ACI Ethos VIA laptop. I have created a dual boot. The IRQ of the sound card and the modem is the same i.e IRQ 11 it works fine on Windows 2000 Prof but Linux is not detecting the modem but sounds is ok. Can any1 suggest as to how this problem could be tackled. I have installed Linux Kernel 2.5 PCQ Linux Distro. Thank you!

hmm..
I think you can alter the IRQ setting from your Bios. have you tried that yet !! ?
