Network Service Problem
« on: May 24, 2004, 12:16:12 PM »
I have installed one new Linux Server at my client place. The Server motherboard is SE7501BR2 and its having 2 ethernet ports. One is 10/100 and another one is 1GB ethernet card.I have configured both the ethernet cards and both are running in network.

In this case,I am facing one problem that i can't get the network when the server is up.After i restart the network service i can get the network. What could be the reason????.

Eventhough i have checked by NTSYSV command and the service is running at startup.........

Pls Help me......

Then simply make sure that smbd and nmbd get started during boot.

I don't know much about Linux services but in Windows you can setup services to run synchronously and ansynchronously. May be some services which supports network connection starts after network service.

I hope that i help you!
