second life on linux

i use puppy linux and ubuntu

can anyone get second life to work with linux ???

Please let us know what Ubuntu version you are using. Also, let us know you are using 64-bit or 32-bit.

Have you already downloaded second life for linux?
If you have, have you tried extracting it?
If you have, then run it from terminal. and post the output here.

i can get it to work on ubuntu, its puppy linux :-\

i run puppy linux from a live cd and use my save file. i converted the tar file to the pet file but when i install it,and try to run it, nothing happens. i have done did this with many other things and it works. i almost got secondlife to run one time, a window popped up with nothing inside and the title said "Second Life" :o i have everything required to run it.

Apparently I have no idea about it but if its working on ubuntu then why you want it on Puppy linux too, btw.. what version of Puppy linux you are using as well as what version of Ubuntu ?

i use ubuntu 9.04 desktop

i mainly use puppy because i jump from computer and the save file is on my flash drive

Most probably that Puppy linux do not have proper driver for that computer .. !
