Data at Stake- Drive is inaccessible after linux install
« on: July 24, 2009, 07:48:53 AM »
Hi ppl,

I am a novice when it comes to linux.

I recently installed Ubuntu on my system.

I have 2 hdds. I am currently  running Win xp n ubuntu.

This is where the bad thing starts..... :(

I tried to install Fedora 11 along with the other 2 OSs n everything went smooth but later I realized that one of my hdd was messed up. I went to manage window in XP n I didnt see ne partitions on that drive instead it was colored black n said "Unallocated".. I cannot locate the drives in explorer also.. I cannot afford to lose the data cuz most of the data on the hdd was my work files for maya and 3ds max...

Please help me ppl...

Thanks in advance

Thanks,
Ravi

What about linux, do you see them in linux ?
Unless you have not formatted that that partition or drive or overwritten, everything is safe.
