I have linux OS.In this machine all sites (like google opening) whereas gmail, yahoomail are not opening.The rediffmail is opening.Could you please give some suggestions

first check two things one if
1) dns is configured and working properly
2) if proxy using then is it configured properly or not.
3) third and last the gateway

may be that rediffsite will be available from cache ........

i have no idea about this distro but i think first you need to check if you are able to ping these sites or not .
and i think there must be some graphical interface to chek the status of network easely

cat /etc/resolv.conf
nslookup google.com

Seems like you either have a network configuration issue or the service provider has certain restrictions.
