Ive been used to C language im just wondering what is the most powerful and flexible programming language?

JAVA is the one that will cross into my mind. It has all the things u need as a programming languages:

1) Platform Independent
2) Object Oriented approach
3) U can go web-based programming too
and the list goes on....

But of course at the expense of ur speed.
