making a partition without losing windows
« on: May 10, 2006, 04:53:06 PM »
Hi!
I used Suse Linux 7.0 somewhat 10 years ago and i was thinking of getting it back up and running.
I'm currently running XP home, so i don't have a partition manager available to make an extra linux partition. Is there any free programs out there, or anyone who could guide me through the process of doing it with the suse-installation program?I have 2 partitions btw. but i would like an extra one of about 25gb or so...
or in general any other suggestions;p
anyway, would be fun to get back to playing with my good old stable linux again.
gotta keep windows to keep my girlfriend(and my gaming) happy!=)

There is a feature in this forum which is found at bottom of every page "SIMILAR TOPICS" !

In that I found answer to your solution :

Resizing partitionp
You can use qtpated live cd and do whatever you want to do with partitions.
