Initial Setup, configuration Problem
« on: June 15, 2005, 11:34:33 AM »
Hi All,  Yes i am a newbie, but basically

I am installing linux 10 and have run throught the full setup procedure. The problem is that when the system has been setup, and restarted, the initial boot sequence will run through, but when it comes to "something to do with user name + password) i can not view the screen.  The screen is black and the writing is pixilated, so i am able to make out some words but not all.

I feel that i have selected either the wrong card or configuration settings for the graphics card, but as a newbie i am unable to identify a way to reconfigure the card.

Any help would be appreicated.

Regards, Alan

seems to be that you have chosen wrong monitor setting..

In this case you can use any good linux live CD and edit X config file and their change the resolution to some lower one!
