Dear Gaurav:
Thanks for your answer.
However, can you specify more details? For example, which command?
Sorry, newbie here :-)
I though the kppp is just used for dial-up, isn't it?
Many thanks.

Dear Gauravbajaj:
Sorry, my apology for the confusion.
Since my modem does support USB and ethernet, sometimes I have to use USB to log on. Can you tell me how to create a link for the usb modem to access Internet like under ms windows please? Should I use kppp?
Many thanks :-)

Dear Gauravbajaj:
Thanks for your reply.
1) But it is not a partition but a USB modem. How can Fedora tells which is usb drive and which is usb modem?
2) Since Fedora auto recognize my modem, I guess it will auto install the driver, right?
3) Where to key in my user name and password?
Thansk in advanced.

Wat u want i think could be doing a shortcut to ur PPPOE modem, well, my friend that's not possible.

The more appropriate term u should refer is the "adsl service" and not a link.

For fedora boys and girls, u can use the "setup" utility under the konsole  mode. Choose "System Services" and u will see something like "pppoe" or "adsl", just check it and quit. Reboot ur linux.

But i must warn u that, "adsl-setup" which is the tool under the konsole for configuring adsl connection is not really reliable. Use the rp-pppoe instead.

That's my last advice. "rp-pppoe" is also know as Roaring Penguin -PPPOE. Coz existing pppoe in fedora have some known issues.

There rest is up to u to search, happy doing RND, i bet u will learn a lot by digging infos.

I can't give u straight answer as im no longer using Fedora anymore. But, this method definitely work.
