I got a message from this site saying it was hacked

I got a message in my inbox saying that this site has been hacked and that my "e-mail and passwords are safe with us".

Obviously some hacker got into the system and got my e-mail ID.

Can anybody confirm what happened? Thank you.

PS: They don't have anything from you! ie they just deleted everything and have not taken anything (they can't read, only can overwrite).
So don't worry.
