Title: "behind firewall" msg in yahoo voice chat/webcam
Post by: nkhetia on September 09, 2004, 07:22:34 AM
hi all

i have configured squid proxy server for http access in our lan.

the computer in which we have installed squid has two cards-eth0 and eth1 - one for the local lan and the other connected to the dsl router.

now we are facing problem in webcam and voice chat in yahoo/hotmail. It is giving msg that you are behind firewall.

So can someone suggest a method about configuring linux with 1 or 2 lan card and with / without squid proxy.

regards

hmm.. Check out Internet sharing in Linux (http://www.linuxsolved.com/forums/ftopic115.html)

But you can solve your problem using Transparent proxy .Linux Squid proxy transparent (http://www.linuxsolved.com/forums/ftopic116.html)
