Title: Difference Between RHL and RHEL

what is the difference between Redhatlinux and Redhat Enterprise Linux.
Why should i choose Enterprise version.

Well.. Redhat says.. that he has optimized RHE for the Large organization .. but RH can be used as Desktop.. or Server .. anything....
Never Used RHE.. may be i m  wrong...

well redhat for the desktop has changed into the Fedora Project, while redhat linux will cater to the business world, providing at cost, tech support and enterprise server needs...  a linux newbiw should just go with Fedora..

You can say Fedora is the community supported version like Debian is. The updates will be constantly updated on its site and will be downloadable. On the othere hand, RHEL will not be sold in retail and will be the pure commercial way.  While the various software/utilities will be tested by the community at large in the Fedora project, the tested ones will be finally included in the RHEL. Needless to add, RedHat will discontinue support for anything except RHEL in times to come.

hi the diffrence in RHL and RHEl is that
1st RHL is the product of RedHat & RHEL is of RedHat Enterprise
2nd RHL is free but not RHEL
3rd on RHL u don't get RedHat Support but ob RHEL u will get RHEL support 24*7 for 7 years and many more
