There is a read me there too.  I'm not familiar with Slackware but it is about the same regardless of distro, except Gentoo.

Note, if you have one of the new 64 bit CPUs, that won't work.  You will need the IA64 version.  Nvidia site, click downloads - drivers then IA64.  Should take you right to it.

yes i did.i will try it out tonight cause i am at work right now.thanks a lot.i hope that awesome slackwer will be even better with this driver.i am a bit of confused:is that file actually a script or what?

From what I understand it is a script that contains the drivers.  It has to first look and see what kernel you are running and then figure out where to install and then put them in the right place.

Basically it works regardless of distro.  Gentoo is a bit different but the rest are the same.  That is what I have read anyway.
