I recently set up a wireless router for my brother that uses windoze.  I also have a wired router that I use.  They don't usually care what OS you use.  Of course, you can't use the install CD if you use Linux.  Most all routers use http://192.168.1.1 (http://192.168.1.1) as its IP address.  That should get you access to the router's setup page.  If not, type in just the numbers and leave off the http part.  I also ran across this too:

http://compnetworking.about.com/od/homenetworking/ht/routerconfigure.htm (http://compnetworking.about.com/od/homenetworking/ht/routerconfigure.htm)

Does that help any?
