Title: yum server Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository:

i have re started my yum server but service is not stop stoped signal is fail but start signal is ok i have type command #yum install samba* so come error Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository plz help me

start the ftp service and chkconfig on ftp

check ftp service is running or not. if not, start ftp service and on it
 /etc/init.d/vsftpd start
chkconfig vsftpd on
revert me it working or not

i have start ftp server services but yum is not work & tell me why not stop yum-updatesd service after restarting services

hi,
you delet .olddata file or not . if u didn't delet it first then check it.

check the /etc/yum.repos.d/rhel-debuginfo file
 check baseurl .
