Title: gtalk $ yahoo messenger in linux

Hi dear pals......
i do have a serious problem like i'm using RHEL 5 as my OS and i like to stay online wit my friends using gtalk and yahoo messenger.I just googled in the web for a rpm file for linux.But unfortunately i'm not able to find.Somebody pleas help me out.

You can use PIDGIN Messanger. Go to www.pidgin.im (http://www.pidgin.im). Download yum repository and install it on your RHEL 5 and use yum to download it.

RHEL By default not providing any of the softwares that used for desktop from version 5. If you are using RHEL for Desktop purpose, better to use CentOS 5.3 version which is latest version. CentOS is basically free version of the RHEL.  When Redhat release their major version CentOS Community gets the source code of it and compile it according again after removing redhat branding and adding  few more softwares they release it.

By the way, I am sending you this update from CentOS 5.3
