Title: How to recover unpartitioned space in linux
Post by: cyoumen on April 03, 2009, 11:54:57 AM
First of all i am a newbie with linux. i use fedora 10. I have only one operating system, currently installed ie; fedora. i had a free disk drive so i thought i wud install win xp, then for formatting the partition, i deleted then it became unpartioned space, then when i tried to format it to fat or ntfs it showed it couldnt do due to something missing in mbr so i couldnt do it

later i came to know that i need to install xp first and then fedora, then i used a live cd to boot in to my pc, and corrected the grub. now i can use fedora but the problem is that now the drive i formatted remains as unpartitioned space and i cant use it. so pls can u tell me how to format this space into fat 32 or ntfs, by using fedora..... ??
