Title: Install Fedora 8 on portable harddisk

How can i install Fedora 8 in my portable dardisk so that when the harddisk is plugged in the usb the grub loads and choices me to load windows or fedora and when not plugged directly loads the windows without grub is it possible thanks in advance

I guess your motherboard should support USB boot first. Check bios if it is supported then you can install it as normal.. choose your main hardisk to install GRUB on.

So, when USB hardisk is there and you select fedora from grub then should be able to boot into it.
