Title: How to install from CD...?

Dear folks,

Can I use my Ubuntu 7.04 CD to upgrade my machine's OS from the current Ubuntu 6.10 ?

Can I install new packages I like from that CD itself (rather than from the Net) ?

Plz. reply.

Also, tell me, can I install Fedora 7 and still have a feeling that I'm working on a RedHat 9 machine ? I mean -- will all commands in RedHat 9 work on Fedora 7 ? I am going to replace Ubuntu with Fedora / RH9 once you reply.
