Title: Installing C and C++ from the CD... is it possible ?
Post by: akashyak on July 18, 2007, 09:58:32 AM
Hello. My  problem is that I had to download the  said packages from the Internet, which took 1 hour.

Now suppose I don't have Internet at a friend's system, where I go to install Ubuntu, and suppose he still wants those packages. Can it be done with the Ubuntu 6.10 OS CD ?

According to me gcc (GNU Compiler) and and g++ is already inbuilt in ubuntu means its on the CD itself , you can know wheather its installed or not using command
#gcc -v
It will show some output and the version of the compiler.

If its not then you have to install it from CD.

Thanks
