hi friends i have just installed LDAP server on my suse 10.1.
i have not configured it yet.i want to configure it for my LAN.
and i want that user should also be authonticated by the same.
pls help me in this regard.
i have installed open LDAP .
following configuration i want
domain name= nsc.iiita.ac.in
and users and groups.
and i also want that user should be authonticated by the ldap.
pls help me in this regard

actually i have read the complite tutorial . now i am stuck with the database problem .
actually berkeley DB was not installed on my system and i installed it at the time of installation of the ladp server . now i have no idea how to create data base inthat . or evern i do not have any idea if ldap server will create the database itself.
if u have any idea pls help me.

I dont know much but I have configured it only once......., According to me it creates the database itself you needn't to worry for that.
