Title: howto install pctel modem on linux9
Post by: mohammad_azim_khan on March 14, 2004, 10:16:05 AM
hi
i have a pctel(pct789) modem. whenever i compile the cofigure file given with its dirver package to make 'make file' an error comes:-/usr/src/linux/include/linux/modeversons.h missing
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/modversions.h usability...no
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/modversions.h presence...no
error: while configuring: compile your kernel first.
whereas this file 'modversons.h' is at location /usr/include/linux/modversions.h
i have also made a symbolic link at /usr/src/linux dir for include. but the error continues. i think there must some deffrent commands for compiling kernel in linux9 since those used in 7.3 do not work.
