Hi,
I am trying to use WIN CVS (Version 1.1b13) from an XP PC. The CVS server is running on RedHat Linux (ver 7.1). netstat command on the Linux Box shows port 2401 open. I am able to connect (using telnet) to the port from XP box. However when I try to login as a root / user through WinCVS, I get the following error
" CVS Login aborted : Recev() from server <IP>: Connection reset by peer
CVS exited normally with code 1 "
On the CVS Box, the var/log/messages showed
"cvsbserver xinetd[3858]: execv( /root/cvs_start ) failed: Permission denied (errno = 13)"
Any clues ?
