Post by: tuxi on February 29, 2004, 11:45:25 AM
Hi..
I had earlier Redhat 8 installed on my system. I prefer to use text base login etc.. I was wondering that wht it is written next to the kernel version.. I don't remember wht was written in RH8 but In Redhat 9 I see "Shrike"
Wht does it stands for !!! :)[/b]

From what i know, it's the name of the RedHat u r using. Like RH 7.2 its name is Enigma.

Fedora Core 1? Of course it's Yarrow.
