Title: Interconnecting switches
Post by: ilias on August 22, 2006, 05:03:54 AM
Hi All

I am completely revamping the switches and it cabling, I need a healthy advice from you all

Our office consists of 4 floors, each having a switch.

On the 4th floor we have an additional switch which connects our 3 servers.

Now my question is how to interconnect these 5 switches

Option 1:
1 ->2 -> 3 -> 4-> rack switch

Option 2:
1 -> RS
2 ->RS
3 -> RS
4 -> RS  Where RS is Rack switch

which option will give stability and performance
