Title: Linux distro to run on VIA C3 processor
Post by: anybody1234 on February 23, 2006, 12:00:36 PM
Hi

Sorry for reposting this topic again
I found that this area would be appropriate than installation support area

I would like to know which linux distro would be best to run on a VIA cpu arch

when I asked the support guys at VIA forum they told me that
VIA Cyrix 3 arch are genrally undersupported for box type linux distros like RadHat or Suse but I could try with distros like Ubuntu or Slackware that generally do not have device driver related issues;

So has any one run any Linux Distro on  a VIA C3 cpu arch with best performance..?

Also These distros like Ubuntu or Slackware support dual boot partitioning as in case with RedHat or Suse??

Please let me know ASAP..
JON

Well, I would like to answer your second question..

Ubuntu and Slackware do support VIA C3 processor and they do support dual boot like RHEL.
