Title: Redirecting mail

Hi all,

I have a slight problem that I have been trying to work out in my head for a while now and the time has come to ask the experts.

I have a need to be able to receive SMTP mail for an additional domain that I do not host. Once I receive the mail I need to then forward it on to another SMTP server on a port other than the standard TCP 25. I would like to maybe use TCP 25000 or something. The reason for the different port number is that the other domains mail server is sitting on an ISP's network that blocks port TCP 25 inbound on its firewall. :wink:

Is it possible to do this with SendMail or PostFix Mail servers ?

I know most servers can be set to listen on any port but can the server be configured to send to a destination port other than TCP 25 ??

Huh? SMTP mail?

May i ask how u store ur mail? POP3?

Is that "another SMTP server" of yours in LAN or other host's SMTP server.

Sendmail is a very powerful mail agent for forwarding mail.
