Man! There is alwasy problem in accessing mail through a mail client in proxy. I found that using transparent proxy solve it. But in simple proxy you can still use it but it is little hit and try thing. Here at my place I set outlook to use proxy and entered the proxy server only in HTTP and HTTPs leaving other blank and i was able to use the outlook.
I just tested it !!
I suggest you to try using outlook only after authenticatioin.
Tell me how is you going..

It should be like..
Code: [Select]
clients ----> proxy -------> hub -----> router --------> internetYou can have proxy on machine with only one NIC.. as theoritically it is possible, but not transparent proxy.
It can be like this, Proxy box has router as gateway and other machine on local net uses proxy by configuring browser to use proxy.

Thanks for all your help ricky.

I finally got it to work, it was something i had overlooked.

Is there anyway to force the clients to use the proxy with my current setup. It  works fine but it is still up to the client wether to use the proxy or not.
