Hi,

How can i convert a Windows media video(WMV) file to DAT format?

Here in this case you can use mencoder, it comes with mplayer ..
But I have converted dat (mpeg1) file to divx etc.. not wmv files to dat.

But I think it can do.. install mplayer with mencoder and then see its MAN pages .
