Title: Host name resolution
Post by: anil_garg5 on May 12, 2005, 11:28:51 AM
Hi all
How can I get linux  system  hostname in a network from my linux or windows machine ??

As in windows, ping -a option gives the hostname, so what should be used for that??

ping - a 192.10.10.1 returns its hostname (  in windows)

Thanks in advance..............
