Title: How to install Xine player

Hi,

Can anyone give me a step by step procedure for installing Xine player. i downloaded these files from their website

1. xine-lib-1.0.1.tar(binary)
2. libxine1-1.0.1cvs-050426.i686.rpm(main engine)
3. xine-ui-0.99.3.tar(frontend)

but could not understand the steps given in the installation guide. I am new to linux.Please help me.

Xine needs 2 files:
1) Engine (Called Xine LIB)
2) User Interface (UI)

Dload the .rpm format for easy install
if You want to compile  it dload .tar format.

I see you have both .tar files.

1) Extract them & enter directory.
2) ./configure
3) make
4) make install

First install the lib then the ui.
