Title: log in password

i a first time use red hard 9.0 .
i finish install linux the system wan me log in local network at text and enter password???? what user name and password???
why not same my friend log in with graphics logo

What do you mean when you log in "local network" ?

anyways.. if you are getting text mode by default then you must have chosen text login while installation. Anyways..

During installation RH9 must have asked you for a password !
So ..
use username as "root"
and
use password that you have provided during install.
